Make a slip knot on the hook and make 8 chain stitches. Increase the number of chain stitches depending on how wide you want the headband to be.
Slip the hook through the second last chain, pull yarn through to get a single crochet.
Carry on and make single crochets on all 8 chains. Make an extra chain stitch and turn the band over.
You will see two strings above the hook, when you slip the hook below the first chain of the single crochets as shown here. Slip hook between them and start knitting single crochets and continue knitting.
Keep doing the same with all the chains. When finishing, instead of slipping between the two strings, slip hook below them. Add an additional chain and then start knitting to the other end from here.
Carry on knitting back and forth until you reach the required length for your headband. Both ends can be joined using single crochet knots or just by sewing together with needle and thread.
Camel stitch design headband is now ready.
Attach crochet flowers to decorate the headband.
