  • Channa dhal - 2 tsp
  • Urad Dhal - 2 tsp
  • Butternut squash - 1/4
  • Red Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Garlic - 3
  • Tamarind - small gooseberry size
  • Dried Red chilli - 4(adjust to taste)
  • Green Chillies - 4
  • Ginger - 1/4 inch
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida Powder, Curry Leaves, Oil - to temper
  • Salt - to taste

Clean and Chop all the Ingredients and set aside ready.

Roast Urad dhal, Cumin, chillies, Onion, Tomato, Ginger, squash in oil. Add Tamarind, Salt and Asafoetida. Switch off Flame.

Cool the roasted ingredients. Grind to desired consistency.
