- All purpose flour - 500 gm
- Margarine - 500 gm
- Egg - 10
- Sugar - 500 gm
- Vanilla essence - 2 tsp
- Baking powder - 3 tsp
Sift flour and baking powder together at least thrice. Preheat oven to 300 F.
Beat sugar and margarine in a bowl until fluffy.
Add eggs one by one and beat to combine well.
Add vanilla essence and mix.
Fold in flour in batches and mix. Scoop batter into the cup cake moulds to fill them about 3/4 full. Bake them in the preheated oven.
If you prefer, add chocolate chips to the batter and mix.
You can also add cocoa powder to the batter while adding chocolate chips.
Another variation is adding mixed glazed fruit to the batter.
If making for kids, you can also add food colours to make preferred colour of cupcakes.
One more variation is adding dates and nuts to the batter.
Prepare the batter as you prefer and bake it until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
