  • Urad dhal - 1 tbsp
  • Channa Dhal - 1 tbsp
  • Moong dhal - 1 tsp
  • Whole Peanuts - 1 tsp
  • Dried Red chilli - 10 (adjust to taste)
  • Whole White Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Garlic Pods (Peeled) - 3
  • Tamarind - Coin sized
  • Whole Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Whole Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp

Measure all the Ingredients and set aside.

Fry all Dhals ,Peanuts ,Red chillies, Garlic, Sesame seeds , Pepper,Cumin ,Coriander seeds by adding them one by one in the same pan

Add Tamarind and cool them.

Add Asafoetida, Salt and grind to desired consistency.

Spicy Dosa podi can be sprinkled over dosa, uthappam, Appam and even on idli.
