- Urad dhal - 1 tbsp
- Channa Dhal - 2 tsp
- Toor dhal - 1/4 cup
- Fenugreek- 2 tsp
- Dried Red chilli - 1/2 cup(adjust to taste)
- Raw Rice - 1 tsp
- Whole Pepper - 2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds - 2 tsp
- Asafoetida Powder - 1 tsp
- Whole Coriander Seeds - 1 cup
- Black Mustard - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 2 Sprigs
- Turmeric Powder - 2 tsp
Measure all the Ingredients and set aside.
Fry Coriander Seeds
Fry Red chillies
Fry Pepper, Cumin, Black Mustard, Fenugreek, Curry leaves by adding them one by one in the same pan
Roast Toor dhal to golden brown.
Roast Urad dhal, Channa dhal, raw rice.
Cool the roasted ingredients
Add Asafoetida, turmeric and grind to desired consistency.
If using wet asafoetida,add small goose berry size.if using whole turmeric pod, add 2 inch of it.dry fry these along with other ingredients and grind them.If you desire to have more color and spice , we could add whole Red chilli powder.
